Surf Report with John Veage

A week of wicked waves!
Now I have your attention...this is not today, but a random shot from the weekend when a heavy Sou East swell smashed our coast.
We have had the whole bag this week; good waves Friday, better waves Saturday and then big waves Sunday. Monday afternoon at Wanda was epic and then Tuesday was….dead flat. This leaves us today where a new South swell popped up with the southerly change last night.
It's 3ft at Wanda where the best bank is and a rip that would suck the sand from my car's carpet. I actually watched a boot camp get sucked out in it and they would have had to be rescued by Fishhead and Wylie except the instructor had a yellow floatie and managed to drag them in…classic really.
Swellnet reports nothing major on the cards for the rest of the week  with today’s swell which should ease during the day as E/NE sea breezes develop, besides tiny levels of NE windswell not topping 2ft across north-east facing beaches Friday morning and then 2-3ft Saturday morning.
